Communal Sleeping
There will be two communal sleeping venues during Vienna FM 24/25 (they are FULL by now):
Parish Akkonplatz
A progressive and active catholic community in Vienna's 15th district. Just across the street is the big green "Schmelz" area with the sports uni and an allotment garden.
Public transport: closest stops
- Auf der Schmelz (2 min walk): buses 10A, 12A
- Johnstraße (10 min walk): metro U3, tram 49, buses 10A,12A, night bus N49
Theater Studio
This is a theatre school, a very neat and cosy space in the basement of an old building. Fairly centrally located in the 7th district, rather close to many of our venues.
Public transport: closest stops
- Burggasse/Neubaugasse (3 min walk): bus lines 48A, 13A
- Westbahnstraße/Zieglergasse (5 min): tram 49, night bus N49
- Neustiftgasse/Neubaugasse (4 min): bus 48A
- Strozzigasse (6 min): tram 46, night bus lines N46, N71
- Burggasse-Stadthalle (15 min): metro U6, trams 6, 18
- Urban-Loritz-Platz (13 min): night bus lines N8, N49
Communal sleeping rules will be sent via email.
Accommodation needed?
Most of you will hopefully have found an accommodation.
For all who haven't, here are some ideas to still find a place to stay.
Hotels / hostels
Vienna's hotel / hostel prices are what you would expect of a typical Central European city. Not super expensive, but also not so cheap. Here's an overview: https://www.hotels-in-vienna.net/en/
Air BnB and similar
Of course, that's another possibility: As Vienna is not as strongly suffering from overtourism as some other European capitals, this seems ethically OK, even though we want to mention the problematic sides of renting flats out to tourists.
Need some suggestions?
We have put a list with some possibilities together, which we update regularly.
